Beehut part one.. design phase.

Fiona and I decided to make a ‘beehut’ to house the bees (currently in our garage doorway) to keep them safe from the pesky black bears. </p>

The idea is to have just the hive doorway protrude through the door in the hut.

I am designing it to match the shed we build on the other side of the lawn.

The door and landing can be seen in the photo of the hive.

Fiona had a fantastic idea to put the hives on rails to slide them out for inspections, so I’ll be designing that next.
